Wi-Fi 6 is the current-generation wireless standard that’s faster than 802.11ac. More than speed, it provides better performance in congested areas, from stadiums to your own device-packed home. Wi-Fi 6 officially arrived in late 2019, and Wi-Fi 6-enabled hardware is now the norm. It’s also known by the name 802.11ax.
